Our questions: Do you think we can turn things around? How can we help each other?
Tammy Lea Meyer and Natalia Campos have come together to support each other in a shared vision: that we can help empower citizen voices through a thoughtful exploration of our perspectives, concerns, and solutions - by creating media as a collaborative process.
We are media experimentalists and citizen advocates, and we are pushing for systems change. We’re concerned about the state of the world today, and we are ready to take action. We want to help tell the story of the transition through a live exploration of what people think we can do to ‘turn things around’.
On June 11, Tammy will attend the Next Edge Festival, a convergence of thought leaders and change agents in Montreal. She will be hosting ‘for the record’ conversations to profile the people and projects that are creating solutions for all of us. She wants to help to give a window into Next Edge thinking, and will be creating blogs while she is there to help share their stories and show how collaboration can help us to take real, concrete action.
We are hopeful about the challenges we face; we think by having transparent, generative, and engaging conversations, we can help thought leaders get the word out, and help us to think together into what is possible.
Want to see some samples of how we might present our work? Here are some citizen perspectives of the potential impacts of Bill C-51, and a 'big picture thinking' article called Change Everything.
One of our goals is to develop a framework for anyone to use to produce media from their own communities. We have created a google spreadsheet so you can track our work, share our methods, and carry on the innovation!
Your financial support allows us to create media on behalf of citizens, and get the word out. Thank you for supporting our democratic media experiment!
