Build an Earthen Cabin, create amazing workshop learning opportunities, and create an ongoing source of financial support for Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute.
This exciting project will produce a beautiful earthen cottage, many workshop learning opportunities, and ongoing rental income to support farm work at Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute.
The Eco-Institute is dedicated to the healing of the human-Earth relationship, and offers sustainability classes, workshops, internships, fellowships, and community events.
Greg Allen and Mike McDonough, local-favorite builders and teachers, will return to teach a series of workshops at various stages in the earthen building process.
Your support will complete a $70,000 fundraising process, which has been kickstarted by local foundations including the Mead Family & Fenwick Foundations.
Any funds above our goal will support educational signage and the documentation of the project on our website. The project will be complete by the end of 2015!
